Position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and a four-year degree in graphic design or a related field, and skill with tools and technologies to create, produce, and distribute visual messages. Proficiency in web languages/software is required; and familiarity with print is also important. This work involves application of CSS, HTML, various CMS systems and the full Adobe Creative Suite.

Our highly collaborative environment involves working closely with other designers and team members. Every project is unique in purpose and scope, requiring a contextual, analytical and creative approach to reach an optimal design solution.

The ideal candidate for this position is creative, self-directed, organized, easy to work with, adaptable to change and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be a problem solver, able to produce high-quality work under the pressures of time and cost constraints.

Position summary

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design team by helping inform and implement creative concepts
  • Provide design production leadership for web projects
  • Research and develop solutions using various technologies based on client needs and project budgets

Required skills and abilities

  • Ability to explain the design rationale for solutions created
  • Knowledge of design aspects including complex layout challenges, typography, color, spacing, sizing, usability and user experience, standards for web and print file variations
  • Detail-oriented; able to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Work well with a team
  • Organize, plan and prioritize work; manage time well
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Assure the careful maintenance of all electronic files
  • Work within the parameters of cost, time and team inputs
  • Develop/maintain relationships with industry resources
  • Demonstrate proficiency with tools and technologies to create, produce, and distribute visual messages.Emphasis is on web languages/software; and print capability is of secondary importance (CSS, HTML, various content management systems, Adobe Creative Suite)

Qualifications
