Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a professional writer
- Four-year degree in journalism, English or a related field
- Portfolio demonstrating strength with multiple writing styles and outputs
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct excellent communication with clients and colleagues
- Provide a broad range of writing skills for creative and technical communications—including research, planning, analysis, story development and interviewing, copy writing, editing and proofing
- Assist consultants with concept development, project planning and documentation, content process and organization, and project details
- Develop a wide range of ideas, communications solutions and implementation plans in multiple media, including web, print, video and presentations
Required skills and abilities:
- Proven capability as a critical thinker, in addition to writing and editing for all media; preference is given to candidates with experience and skill in writing for the web
- Experience and understanding of online writing practices, including working knowledge of content management, architecture, user experience and usability, search engines and analytics, social media and community-building practices
- Demonstrated understanding and application of diverse writing styles and voice, from formal to casual to provocative
- Established ability to solve problems through verbal expression
- Solid understanding of strategic communications and marketing concepts, and capacity to apply creative solutions to business problems
- Ability to organize, connect and manage multiple content elements
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build and manage strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong collaboration skills; ability to work closely with other writers, editors, designers and consultants, both remotely and in person

Required skills and abilities:

- Knowledge of design aspects including complex layout challenges, typography, color, spacing, sizing, usability, standards for web and print file variations
