The James Irvine Foundation shares its insights with the field in a series of knowledge papers.
Irvine is a pioneer in evaluation, and a practitioner of transparency. The Insight series provides information to program practitioners, funders and policymakers based on lessons learned via Irvine grantmaking. Williams Group has worked closely with Irvine staff, researchers, evaluators and consultants to edit and design many papers in the Insight series, and to support active dissemination to target audiences. Examples include:
What Matters, What Works, an engaging summary of key findings and implications from evaluation of a major after-school initiative
Supporting Success, an exploration of strategies and investments for improving the quality of after-school programs
After-School Toolkit, a set of tips and tools for improving after-school program quality
New Experiments in Minority Voter Mobilization, a report on the California Votes Initiative
Dual Enrollment Policies and Practices, an exploration of the approaches pursued by California high schools offering college credits
