The National Design Awards given by the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum honor the best in American design. Awards are given for a body of realized work and are assessed for their impact on contemporary daily life. Jurors base their decisions primarily on the core criteria: excellence, innovation, and contribution to the quality of life.

Upon their nomination, Steelcase asked Williams Group to work collaboratively with the vice president of global design to create the Steelcase submission, a book featuring beautiful photos of spaces and products.
